It’s no secret that visiting government offices often entails waiting around to get things sorted. However, at the Wangsa Maju Road Transport Department (JPJ), the wait might just be a bit longer.
A video shared on JomPinjam.Com TikTok revealed a ceiling leak at Wangsa Maju JPJ, resulting in what looked like a full-blown waterfall inside the branch.
In the video, the ‘waterfall’ was seen gushing over the counters, drenching electronics, while JPJ staff navigated through a small flood.
According to a report by Kosmo, JPJ reassured the public that despite the incident, the branch’s operations remain open as usual.
“Only the affected area is temporarily closed, not the entire building,” explained Deputy Director General of JPJ for Planning and Operations, Aedy Fadly Ramli.
He further mentioned that the leak was caused by an overflow of rainwater on the previous day.
So, if you’re planning to handle any driver’s license matters, it’s advisable to avoid the Wangsa Maju branch for the time being.
