Daud Kim a Korean Muslim convert build Mosque in Incheon

Renowned South Korean pop singer and YouTuber, Daud Kim, who embraced Islam five years ago, revealed plans to construct a mosque in the city of Incheon, South Korea.

Announcing the news on Tiktok, Kim posted video of the land he acquired for the mosque along with the signed contract.

Who is Daud Kim?

Daud Kim, formerly known as Kim Kyun-woo, professionally as Jay Kim, is a South Korean singer, actor, and YouTuber.

In September 2019, Kim publicly announced his conversion to Islam via a YouTube video.

Since embracing Islam, he has expressed his desire to visit Mecca and Medina on numerous occasions.

During Ramadan 2022, Kim performed Umrah after embracing Islam in 2019.

His vision includes establishing a prayer area and an Islamic podcast studio for spreading Islamic teachings to the Korean community.

Kim expressed, “I see this as a significant leap forward. Challenges will surely arise, but I have faith that I can overcome them. I aim for the day when the beautiful call to prayer echoes through every street in Korea. I’ll give it my all.”
