French Traveler’s Love Affair with Malaysia: 6 Years and Still Going Strong

Ever wondered what a French traveler thinks about Malaysia after living here for six years? Well, Roman, one half of the dynamic duo Roman and Fizah, recently spilled the beans on his love for Malaysia and its people.

Sharing his thoughts on Facebook, Roman revealed that he had visited Malaysia a few times before fate intervened and he met his Malaysian wife. Little did he know that his love affair with the country was just beginning.

The story unfolds 11 years ago when Roman met his wife. Initially, they chose New Zealand as their home, but after six years there, the couple decided to pack their bags and head to Malaysia. The reason? His wife’s yearning for the familiar comforts of home and the delightful Malaysian cuisine.

“I’m from France, and it’s been 21 years since I left. Malaysians are much more laid-back. No one judges you based on your race, religion, or where you’re from, and I love that!” Roman enthusiastically shared.

In Malaysia, Roman wears the hat of a photographer, capturing the beauty of the country through his lens, while his wife imparts her culinary wisdom by teaching cooking classes for curious foreigners.

But their adventures don’t stop there. Roman reminisced about their trek from KL to Langkawi to raise awareness about the environment. And the fun doesn’t end – they’ve got plans to explore Borneo in May and embark on a cycling adventure from Kota Kinabalu soon.

So, what keeps Roman enamored with Malaysia after all these years? Perhaps it’s the laid-back attitude, the acceptance regardless of background, or maybe just the irresistible charm of Malaysian food. Whatever it is, one thing’s for sure – Roman’s Malaysian love story is still going strong after six wonderful years!
