A Malaysian dad has taken on a new and unexpected career move after retiring from his police officer job. His daughter, TikTok user @DayahSazihan, shared a video showcasing her dad’s quirky post-retirement hobby – dressing up the family cat!

In the video, the dad is seen carefully styling their cat, Abang Boboy, with sunglasses and a hat while sitting in a massage chair. The cat seems surprisingly calm and cooperative during this fashion photoshoot.

Dayah shared the amusing video with a caption explaining that people often inquire about her dad’s activities after retirement. She playfully revealed, “This is my dad’s new profession after retirement.”

Dayah explained in an interview that her dad wasn’t originally a cat lover, but spending more time at home has turned him into one. They have a total of 33 cats at home, and her dad has grown fond of their furry companions.

“My dad actually doesn’t like cats, but because he spends most of his time at home now, you can see that he has grown fond of them,” she shared.

Now, both of her parents actively care for the cats, and Dayah and her siblings chip in during their free time. The cats, especially Abang Boboy and Oyen, have become particularly affectionate towards Dayah’s parents.

“The cats are always manja in front of Mum and Dad. That’s why you can see that Abang Boboy and Oyen will always follow my dad’s wishes in the videos,” she explained. “These two cats seem to understand, and it’s like Dad has changed careers now by becoming a photographer at home for his beloved animals,” she joked again.
