The buzz even reached the State Legislative Assembly (Dewan Undangan Negeri – DUN) of Pahang last Wednesday.
Leong Yu Man, the Chairman of the Unity, Tourism, and Culture Committee in Pahang, highlighted that the state government is seizing the opportunity to promote Kuantan, especially its beaches. He mentioned that the government is actively trying to reach out to the creators of the anime following suggestions from fans to build a memorial monument on Kuantan’s beach.
“We are not taking this matter lightly, as we need approval from the creators of the anime. Therefore, we hope to get a decision from them so that the beach becomes a new attraction for anime enthusiasts worldwide,” he said.
