A viral video showing a silver pickup truck with a sticker in the Hebrew language on a road in Melaka has prompted Malaysian police to open an investigation.
The clip, just 14 seconds long, surfaced on social media platform Threads and caught the attention of a special officer to the Chief Minister, who subsequently lodged a police report.
Melaka police chief Zulkhairi Mukhtar confirmed that the sticker reads, “Malaysia is our home” or “Malaysia is in our hands,” based on initial translation assessments.

Vehicle Registered In Negeri Sembilan
Authorities traced the vehicle’s registration and found it belonged to a man residing in Gemencheh, Negeri Sembilan.
The investigation is being carried out under Section 505(b) of the Penal Code for public alarm and Section 233 of the Communications and Multimedia Act 1998 for improper network use.
Zulkhairi also urged the public not to jump to conclusions or spread unverified information, promising a fair and thorough investigation to maintain public harmony.

In an update provided on October 8, 2025, Zulkhairi stated that the driver had been successfully identified as a local Malaysian citizen.
“We have identified the individual involved, but no arrest has been made yet,” he told Harian Metro.
The case has drawn public attention due to the sensitive geopolitical implications, and authorities are treading cautiously in determining the motive behind the sticker’s message.
