The ex-tv3 host, Norjuma Habib Mohamed has been charged in four magistrates’ courts in kuala lumpur with five charges.

Former television personality and famous hijab entrepreneur, Norjuma Habib Mohamed, was charged in four Magistrates’ Courts in Kuala Lumpur on Thursday with five counts of injuring three individuals and committing breach of trust seven years ago.

According to reports, Norjuma, 44, faces three charges of injuring three individuals by scratching hands, slapping cheeks, and kicking shins seven years ago.

The accused is also charged with two counts of breach of trust by damaging a barrier and a closed-circuit television (CCTV) camera.

However, the accused pleaded not guilty to all charges read before Magistrates Illi Marisqa Khalizan, Amira Abd Aziz, Fatin Dayana Jalil, and Noor Elynna Hanim Abd Halim.

Under the first charge, Norjuma was accused of causing injury to Mohd Afiq Ismail, 34, at a business premises in Menara Atlan, Jalan Ampang, at 8:43 p.m. on February 21, 2017.

The second charge alleges that she caused injury by kicking the left shin of a male security guard from Nepal, Neupane Tika Ram, at a tuition center in Plaza Batai Bukit Damansara at 3 p.m. on March 29, 2018.

For the third charge, the former TV3 host is accused of causing injury by slapping cheeks and scratching the hand of Nur Solehah Rosli, 31, at a condominium in Wangsa Maju at 10:30 a.m. on October 18, 2021.

These three charges are made under Section 323 of the Penal Code which carries a maximum penalty of imprisonment for up to one year or a fine of up to RM2,000 or both, upon conviction.

For the other two breach of trust cases, the woman is accused of damaging the barrier and CCTV of a condominium, with an estimated loss of RM4,700 in Taman U-Thant, at 7:44 and 7:45 p.m. on July 28, 2023.

These cases are made under Section 427 of the Penal Code which provides for a maximum penalty of imprisonment for up to two years or a fine or both, upon conviction.

The prosecution was led by Deputy Public Prosecutors, Harvind Raja Gopal, Hamizah Hisan, and Vivian Yeap Jie Xi, while Norjuma was represented by lawyer, Izzat Amir.

The court set June 27 for a re-mention of the case and document submission.

Last year, renowned hijab entrepreneur, Norjuma Habib Mohamed, was also declared bankrupt after failing to settle a debt of RM260,400.00 to Fame Up Entertainment Company.
