In a hilarious TikTok video by @hisyam.arif, these Indonesian travelers spill the beans on their “travel hack” to enjoy local prices in Malaysia. The video, now boasting over 1.6 million views, showcases their clever trick to blend in seamlessly.

In response to a TikTok post by allisya, where Indonesian women share their experiences studying or living in Malaysia, one of them cheekily revealed, “We’re Indonesians in Malaysia. If we want cheap tickets, we pretend to be Malay.” Switching to Bahasa Melayu, she smoothly adds, “Nak satu tiket, kak” (I want one ticket, sister). It turns out, speaking the language is their golden ticket to local prices. Talk about a tongue-in-cheek travel hack!
