As it turns out, the spooky images weren’t from Kampar, Klang, or Jeram at all—they were actually taken in India.
According to Kosmo!, these eerie photos were first shared by Indian YouTuber @XYZ-VIRAL last month. They resurfaced after local social media users reposted them, claiming that the ghost was spotted in Malaysia. The original YouTube video has since been taken down, but several people have pointed out that the YouTuber edited the photos and the ghost wasn’t real.
Viral Image of Ghost in Saree Terrorizing Kampar Was Actually Uploaded in India First
Recently, several images of a ‘ghost’ wearing a saree allegedly appearing on an empty road in Kampar, Perak, went viral on TikTok.
The photos were shared by user @junaidah_ayuu, who included a WhatsApp voice note from someone claiming that the entity was recently spotted by a traveler.
The voice note also advised lorry drivers and anyone commuting early in the morning to be cautious and avoid interacting with the ghost.
Interestingly, the person who recorded the voice note gave conflicting information about the ghost’s location, saying, “This just happened in Klang, Kampar, Jeram, ya.”
At the time of writing, the TikTok video has amassed over 700,000 views and 31,000 likes.
The video has caused confusion among TikTok users, with many commenting that the location where the ghost was seen seemed questionable.
