A Malaysian Woman Proudly Creates Batik for Lacoste Logo – “An Unforgettable Experience!”

Who would have thought that Malaysia’s traditional batik art would be showcased in an international luxury brand store? Batik artist Farah Mohan expressed her pride after being given the opportunity to collaborate with Lacoste for a special Ramadan Raya campaign recently.
Through her post on X, Farah shared her experience of handcrafting a unique batik design for Lacoste’s iconic crocodile logo. She also documented the process, from the initial sketches to the final masterpiece displayed in Lacoste boutiques.
According to her, creating this artwork was no easy task, especially with time constraints and the added responsibility of taking care of her child. In fact, she had to produce four different batik sets to ensure perfection in the final product.
“I’m truly grateful to Lacoste for trusting me with this project. This is the first time I’ve ever created a batik artwork of this scale in my career,” she shared.
