“Please Be Patient!” — Courier Hubs Flooded With Raya Parcels
Massive Parcel Surge As Raya Approaches

As Hari Raya Aidilfitri draws closer, courier companies across Malaysia are facing a massive surge in parcels as shoppers rush to complete their festive purchases.
Videos shared by courier workers on social media show warehouses packed with parcels while staff scramble to sort thousands of deliveries. Many Malaysians are now anxiously waiting for their Raya items to arrive on time.
Courier Staff Reveal “Tsunami” Of Parcels
In a TikTok video uploaded by user @haizayong, several J&T trucks could be seen completely filled with parcels while warehouse staff worked quickly to organise them according to delivery zones. In the caption, the staff member reassured customers that their parcels were on the way.
“Your things are on the way!” she wrote.
Meanwhile, another J&T staff member shared footage showing the warehouse floor covered with packages, describing the situation as a “tsunami” of parcels. “J&T is flooded, guys! There’s not enough space inside. Avoid ordering fragile items this close to Raya,” wrote @nrl0niee._ on Threads.
Workers Ask Public To Be Patient
The same worker also advised customers to avoid ordering fragile items during this busy period because the sheer volume of packages could increase the risk of damage.
“It’s like a tsunami in here. This is peak shopping season, and there’s a risk of delays and lost parcels. The return rate is high, so please be patient. Our couriers are human too, and they get tired. Don’t pressure us!” she explained. Her post quickly attracted attention online as many Malaysians sympathised with courier workers handling the festive rush.
Netizens Share Concerns About Raya Deliveries
The videos have since gained thousands of views and comments from Malaysians hoping their Raya items will arrive before the celebrations. Some users joked about their worries after seeing the overwhelming number of parcels. “My baju Raya hasn’t arrived! I guess I won’t be wearing it this year,” one netizen commented. “I pray my items arrive quickly and safely so I can celebrate Raya peacefully,” another wrote. Another user said last year’s experience made them hesitant to place orders close to Raya. “I’m scared to order anything because last year my items only arrived after Raya,” the user shared.
Some Parcels Still Processed Quickly
Despite the chaos, some customers have reported surprisingly fast processing times. One netizen shared a screenshot showing his parcel being processed at a J&T hub in Puchong in just 32 minutes. “J&T has no chill, guys,” he joked.
Courier Company Urges Early Shipping
Anticipating the festive rush, J&T Express had earlier reminded customers to plan their purchases early to avoid delivery delays. In a statement released on 6 March, the company said it strives to serve customers throughout the year but urged the public to follow recommended shipping timelines to ensure parcels arrive before Hari Raya.
The suggested shipping deadlines are: Within West Malaysia: Before 16 March West Malaysia to East Malaysia: Before 12 March Sabah to Sarawak: Before 14 March Within the same city in East Malaysia: Before 16 March Parcels sent after these dates are expected to arrive only after Hari Raya.
