‘Garena Free Fire’ Mobile Game Gets Anime Adaptation by Studio Behind ‘Bungo Stray Dogs’

Japanese media giant Kadokawa and Singaporean game developer Garena have announced a collaboration to create an anime adaptation of the popular mobile game, Garena Free Fire.
As reported by Crunchyroll, there aren’t many details yet about the anime’s plot or style. However, Kadokawa Blue Feather, Kadokawa’s overseas branch in China, will be responsible for producing the anime.
Kadokawa is known for producing hit anime titles such as KonoSuba, Your Name, Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai, Overlord, The Rising of the Shield Hero, Bungo Stray Dogs, Made in Abyss, and Mushoku Tensei.
The Garena Free Fire anime is set to air in Japan and will also be distributed globally.
Given Garena’s history of collaborations with notable anime series such as Attack on Titan, One Punch Man, and Demon Slayer, it’s no surprise that the company is now creating its own anime adaptation. They’ve also teamed up with brands like Lamborghini. Check out the collaboration video below:

Garena Free Fire is a third-person shooter game in the battle royale genre. In this type of game, players are dropped onto a large island with dozens of others, where they must scavenge for supplies and weapons. The goal is to be the last person standing, achieved through various strategies like actively hunting down other players or using stealth tactics to let others eliminate each other.
