A woman alleges her mother was extorted by a hospital security guard in Selangor — and it’s not the first time. The video has since gone viral.

A disturbing incident involving alleged extortion at a hospital in Selangor has gained widespread attention after a woman shared a video on social media claiming that her elderly mother was targeted by a security guard demanding RM50 in exchange for not clamping her car.

The video, posted by TikTok user @Allyszulkeflee, shows her confronting a female security guard she says had asked for cash without justification. According to Allys, the guard threatened to clamp her mother’s car — which was parked in a designated public space — unless she paid RM50 on the spot. The alternative, the guard allegedly warned, would be a RM150 fee.

Allys claimed this wasn’t the first time her mother was approached by the same individual. She recounted that the first incident happened in December, and the most recent occurred in February — both times without her present. She only learned of the repeated encounters when her mother, frightened and hesitant to return to the hospital, shared what had happened.

Angered by the lack of action despite raising the issue previously, Allys decided to return to the hospital and confront the guard directly — this time with a camera. In the clip, she can be heard accusing the guard of taking advantage of elderly visitors and threatening to file a police report if the money wasn’t returned. The confrontation reportedly took place while her younger sibling was hospitalised for dengue.

Speaking to BuzzKini, Allys said she was only contacted by authorities after the video began gaining traction online. She also revealed that other elderly individuals were being targeted in a similar fashion, based on what she witnessed during her visit.

“My mum was terrified and panicked. This shouldn’t be happening — especially to vulnerable seniors who are just there to visit loved ones,” she said, clarifying that her intention in posting the video wasn’t to shame anyone, but to raise awareness and help prevent others from becoming victims.

The video has since sparked outrage across social media, with many condemning the guard’s actions and urging Allys to lodge a formal police report. Some commenters even linked the guard to similar complaints at the same hospital — although it remains unclear whether the same person was involved.
