Thai Influencer Reveals RM1.6 Million Watch Stolen in Singapore
Thai social media influencer and entrepreneur Jinny Chotivichit has opened up about the theft of her luxury watch while visiting Singapore earlier this month.
The missing watch, a Richard Mille RM 07-01 valued at around $400,000 (~RM1.6 million), was reportedly stolen during her visit to the republic for the Formula 1 Grand Prix on October 5.
“I Thought This Country Was Safe”
Despite clarifying that the theft did not occur among the F1 crowd, Jinny expressed her shock and disappointment that such an incident could happen in Singapore — a country she had always viewed as one of the safest in the world.
“I thought this country was safe. Its reputation for security made me let my guard down, and the system failed to protect guests who were supposed to be in a secure environment,” she wrote.
Jinny shared that the watch held sentimental value as it was purchased entirely from her own savings, making the loss even more devastating.

Police Investigation Underway
According to reports, Jinny has filed a police report in Singapore regarding the theft but claimed that she has waited over a month without any significant updates from the authorities.
The Singapore Police Force (SPF) later confirmed the report and said that investigations are currently ongoing.
Jinny Appeals for Information
Jinny, who was formerly a pop singer and now a well-known influencer with a large social media following, stated that she has been fully cooperating with the investigation.
She also reached out to the luxury watch trading community, urging anyone who may come across her stolen Richard Mille to check its serial number and contact her immediately if they have any leads.
Public Reactions
The case has drawn widespread attention both in Thailand and Singapore, with many netizens expressing surprise that such an incident could happen in a country known for its low crime rate.
Others sympathized with Jinny’s loss, acknowledging how difficult it must be to lose a sentimental item, especially one tied to personal hard work and savings.
