Trying to hire a GEN-Z be like…

There is a video recently that crossed my Instagram reel, this dude created a parody content where he’s mimicking a situation in the interview session between the recruiter and the candidate. The recruiter asked a question: why should we hire you? And the candidate responded by asking back many questions. It is funny content to watch and how did that idea come across in her mind in the first place.
But what came across in my mind is how this new generation present themself when this question was being asked. With data proven that teenagers nowadays, almost 50% of them tend to stop further their study, even worse some of them quit as early as 12 years old and choose to generate income on their own. And the main reason could be because of the early exposure to the social media world.
But what will they do when something happens, and they have to change their career direction? What is their action if they are in the situation where they got into the interview session and the recruiter asks one question, why should we hire you? How will they respond to this question? Did something like in that video really happen? To be honest, I believe soft and polite culture is slowly fading among the people in this world, especially in our country. People become less and less kind toward each other. There is no respect shown to the elderly just because they have a different opinion.
Teenagers nowadays lack empathy. That is worrying to think about how this generation will carry the future. What will happen? Nobody knows
