M’sian Content creator Slammed for Herpes Joke Blaming Husband’s Private Parts

Malaysian Influencer Faces Backlash Over Herpes Joke at Clinic

Local businesswoman and dessert seller, Kieda, is currently under fire after uploading a clinic visit video where she jokingly blamed her husband’s private parts for her herpes infection. The video, which has since been taken down, triggered intense criticism online.

“His Private Part Is Sour” — Kieda’s Viral Statement

In the now-viral video, Kieda visited a clinic with her husband after noticing blisters and growth on her lips. Upon consultation, the doctor confirmed that it was Herpes Simplex Virus (HSV).

Without hesitation, Kieda made a joke by turning to her husband and saying:

“His private part is sour. This happened because of his lips, right? Because we kissed?”

The doctor then proceeded to explain about the virus and prescribed her an antiviral cream. Kieda requested a stronger cream, explaining that she had a wedding to attend the next day.

Netizens Disgusted by Her Oversharing

While some saw it as a joke gone wrong, most netizens were appalled by how casually Kieda discussed such a sensitive medical issue online — especially with crude humour involving her husband.

“This is the difference between those with dignity and those without.”

“Next thing we know, she’ll post a crying video about how God is testing her.”

“It’s not about being loud or expressive — it’s the lack of shame.”

Many expressed concern about how normalising vulgar and intimate content could set the wrong example, especially for younger followers.

Video Deleted But Still Circulating

Although Kieda has since deleted the original clip from her social media accounts, the footage continues to circulate across platforms, sparking ongoing debate about content boundaries and public decency in influencer culture.

Some also expressed sympathy for the husband, whom they believed was unnecessarily dragged into the spotlight for something personal.
