Shila Amzah Reveals: It Was Amy Search, Not Awie, Who Attacked Me!
“It Wasn’t Awie — It Was Nabila Huda’s Father,” Shila Amzah Reveals the Identity of the Legendary Singer Who Attacked Her
After weeks of intense speculation, singer Shila Amzah has finally put the rumours to rest. The artist revealed that the person who attacked her during a recent concert rehearsal was none other than Malaysian rock legend, Datuk Amy Search.
This confirmation from Shila — full name Nurshahila Amir Amzah — puts an end to all the speculation and accusations that previously pointed fingers at other well-known names like Datuk Awie and Ella.
Clearing Awie and Ella’s Names
In a statement made during the fourth week of the Raise The Star Malaysia concert, Shila expressed her sympathy for Datuk Awie, who had been unfairly dragged into the controversy.
“I truly feel sorry for Datuk Awie. It wasn’t him. It wasn’t even Kak Ella. The person who attacked me was Nabila Huda’s father — Datuk Amy Search,” she clarified.
Attacked in Front of 40 People — Still Traumatized
Recalling the shocking incident that took place in front of nearly 40 people during rehearsal, Shila admitted that the event left a lasting emotional impact.
“I’m still not fully healed. This shouldn’t have happened in the entertainment industry, especially coming from someone so respected. The attack affected me deeply on an emotional level.”
Shila went on to explain that filing a police report was not about creating more drama but was instead a necessary step to protect herself and prevent any future harm.
“I didn’t report it to stir controversy. It was about protecting myself. I don’t want this to escalate further. This was purely a self-defence move.”
Not Ready to Face Amy Just Yet
When asked if she would consider withdrawing the police report or seeking reconciliation, Shila said it all depends on Amy Search’s attitude moving forward.
“I’m not someone with a big ego, but I need time to heal. If he shows any signs of change, maybe I’ll reconsider. But for now, it’s too soon.”
Shila also emphasized that she’s not emotionally ready to meet Amy face-to-face, as she still feels shaken and needs space to recover.
Viral Confession and Police Involvement
Just last Thursday, Shila shocked fans when she publicly revealed that she had been attacked by a legendary singer during rehearsals for Mr D.I.Y’s 20th Anniversary Concert held at Stadium Merdeka.
Following her statement, she lodged a police report. Authorities have since confirmed the report was received and investigations are currently underway.
