Malaysian Rapper Namewee Linked To Taiwanese Influencer’s Death And Drug Allegations
Taiwanese Influencer Found Dead In Kuala Lumpur Hotel
Taiwanese influencer Iris Hsieh, whose real name is Hsieh Yu-hsin and fondly known to fans as the Nurse Goddess, was found dead in a hotel room in Kuala Lumpur recently.
She was reportedly in Malaysia for work when the tragic incident occurred. According to the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM), Malaysian rapper Namewee was in the same room where Iris was discovered lifeless.
Police Confirm Namewee’s Presence At The Scene

According to Sin Chew Daily on November 2, the Deputy Police Commissioner of Cameron Highlands confirmed that Namewee is linked to the case involving Iris Hsieh’s death and has been charged for alleged drug possession and use.
Reports indicate that Namewee and Iris were initially in the hotel room for a video shoot and work discussion before the incident took place.
Found Lifeless In Bathtub
It was reported that Iris went into the bathroom to shower and did not come out for about thirty minutes. Worried about her condition, Namewee checked on her and found her unresponsive in the bathtub.
He attempted to perform CPR, but she could not be revived. Namewee then called the emergency hotline at approximately 12:30 p.m. to request assistance.
When paramedics arrived, Namewee allegedly did not provide a detailed explanation of what happened and was seen walking towards the hotel elevator. He was later detained by police officers stationed on the same floor due to preparations for the upcoming ASEAN Summit.
Police Escort Namewee Back To The Room
Reports state that Namewee appeared anxious at the time and insisted that he had never taken any drugs. Police later escorted him back to the hotel room, where Iris’s body was discovered in the bathtub.
Officers noted that there was no water in the tub or on the bathroom floor at the time of the discovery.
Family Questions The Cause Of Death
Iris’s friend and manager, known as Chris, claimed that hospital officials initially cited a heart attack as the cause of death. However, her family expressed doubts, insisting that Iris had always been in good health.
The case remains under investigation as authorities continue to determine the exact cause of death and whether drugs were involved.
