Malaysian Fans Will Have To Wait A Little Longer

Malaysian T.O.P fans who were counting down to September will unfortunately have to wait a little longer. Organisers StarryLive Ent, Tonz Entertainment and Yvents announced on 12 August that the Kuala Lumpur stop of T.O.P’s “PRE-STUDIO 2026” fan meeting tour has been postponed. The event was originally scheduled for 27 September 2026 at Unifi Arena. However, the organisers have yet to announce a replacement date. In their statement, they explained that production adjustments prompted the change as they wanted to ensure the best possible live experience. They also apologised for the inconvenience and told fans they look forward to seeing them in Kuala Lumpur soon.

Some Fans Had Already Planned Their Trip To KL

Naturally, the announcement left some local TOPSXs disappointed, especially those who had already started planning their trip to Kuala Lumpur. Several fans also expressed frustration over the timing of the announcement. Still, others appeared more willing to accept the delay as long as the organisers eventually proceed with the show instead of cancelling it. T.O.P, whose real name is Choi Seung Hyun, first announced the “PRE-STUDIO 2026” tour in July. Kuala Lumpur is one of several Asian stops on the tour, alongside cities such as Jakarta and Hong Kong. More importantly, the tour marks his first solo fan meeting since making his debut with BIGBANG in 2007.

His Last Malaysia Appearance Was 11 Years Ago

The postponement probably stings a little more because Malaysian fans have already waited more than a decade to see T.O.P here again. His last appearance in Malaysia was with BIGBANG during the group’s “MADE” world tour in 2015. BIGBANG performed two consecutive shows at Putra Indoor Stadium, now known as Unifi Arena, on 24 and 25 July that year. That makes “PRE-STUDIO 2026” a long-awaited return to the same venue for T.O.P, this time as a solo artist. For now, fans will need to hold on a little longer while waiting for the organisers to confirm the new date. The KL show may be delayed, but based on the announcement so far, it has not been cancelled.
