Scottish Man Says Tioman Island is Better Than Maldives
In a video posted on TikTok (@gomalaysia), a woman interviewed a young man from Scotland about the islands in Malaysia.
He shared his thoughts, claiming that Tioman Island is far better than the famous Maldives.
His parents, having traveled to various islands, still firmly believe that Tioman is their top pick.
“My parents have been to the Maldives, and they said Tioman is better. If you want to explore an island, Tioman is definitely the place,” he said.
He also mentioned that Tioman was among the best islands he’s ever visited.
However, for this young man in the green shirt, he considers Pulau Cherating in Pahang as his favorite, for its captivating beauty, along with other spots like Pulau Perhentian and Pulau Redang.
The video has garnered attention, with over 193,500 views at the time this article was written.
Many Agree That Malaysia’s Islands Are Truly Gorgeous
In the comment section, many netizens agreed with the Scottish man’s statement about Malaysia’s islands, especially Tioman Island.
“The coral reefs in Tioman are absolutely beautiful. If you’re lucky, you might even spot some dolphins there,” said one netizen.
Others suggested that the man should visit more islands in Sabah, such as Semporna and Sipadan. Pulau Rawa in Johor was also among the recommendations.
