Fatal Klang Crash Still Being Talked About

Even though the incident already went viral two days ago, the fatal crash at Jalan Raya Barat, Klang is still getting a lot of attention online. The case involved a motorcyclist who lost his life after being hit by a driver who was later found to be under the influence of alcohol and drugs. The crash also involved two cars, a Honda City and a Perodua Myvi, which made the incident even more shocking to the public.

Driver Allegedly Entered Opposite Lane Before Fatal Impact

Preliminary investigations found that the Honda City driver, a local man in his 20s, was allegedly speeding dangerously from Jalan Raya Barat towards Klang town. He is believed to have overtaken several vehicles before entering the opposite lane and crashing into the victim’s motorcycle. The force of the collision threw the victim, a local man in his 30s, onto a Perodua Myvi, and he was later confirmed dead at the scene due to severe injuries.

Positive For Alcohol And Drugs, Video Still Circulating Online

Screening tests later confirmed that the driver was positive for both alcohol and drugs, and he has since been detained to assist in further investigations. The case is being investigated under Section 44(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987 and Section 15(1)(a) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952. If convicted, the suspect could face between 10 to 15 years in prison, a fine of RM50,000 to RM100,000, and immediate suspension of his driving licence. The viral dashcam footage, which lasts about one minute, shows the moment the victim was hit and thrown onto the roof of another vehicle, and the clip is still fueling strong reactions from the public.
