Form 4 Student Fatally Stabbed Inside School Toilet
16-Year-Old Girl Dies After Being Stabbed in School Toilet

A tragic incident unfolded at SMK Bandar Utama Damansara (4) in Petaling Jaya earlier this morning when a 16-year-old Form 4 student was fatally stabbed by a 14-year-old boy currently enrolled in the Transition class. The incident took place around 9:30 AM, and the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
Inspector-General of Police, Datuk Seri Khalid Ismail, confirmed that the suspect, a student at the same school, was apprehended shortly after the incident. Due to his age, his identity cannot be publicly disclosed. It is believed that the suspect had brought a knife to school and used it in the attack.
Victim Tried to Hide but Was Cornered and Attacked
According to a TV3 Buletin report, the girl was stabbed multiple times in her body while attempting to hide in the school toilet. A friend who witnessed the scene immediately alerted the school’s discipline teacher.
A witness told Berita Harian that the teacher rushed to the scene and tried to kick down the locked toilet door. After several attempts, the door was finally forced open — but by that time, the attacker had fled.
Chaos as Attacker Runs Through Classrooms with Bloodied Knife
Panic erupted throughout the school as the suspect ran into several Form 1 classrooms, holding the blood-soaked knife in his hand. Students screamed and ran for safety, while the boy reportedly chased after them with the weapon still in hand.
“He barged into one of the classrooms and everyone started screaming and running. His shirt was covered in blood,” a witness shared.
The situation was brought under control when the suspect’s older brother, alongside several teachers, managed to restrain and disarm him.
“The brother wrestled the knife away from him while teachers tried to calm him down,” the witness added.
Motive Under Investigation, Romantic Rejection Rumoured
Police are currently investigating the motive behind the attack. Several media outlets have reported that the incident may have been related to a rejected confession of feelings from the boy to the victim. Petaling Jaya District Police Chief ACP Shamsudin Mamat said that these allegations, which are circulating on social media, are being thoroughly investigated.
Education Ministry to Hold Press Conference
The Ministry of Education (MOE) has announced it will hold a press conference later today to address the tragedy. The ministry is expected to discuss the circumstances of the incident as well as upcoming safety protocols for schools nationwide.
The incident has sparked serious concerns about safety in schools, especially with such violent behaviour taking place during school hours in an area assumed to be safe.
