In a surprising twist of events, the Immigration Department of Malaysia (JIM) recently caught a 34-year-old Singaporean who has been overstaying in Malaysia for a whopping 13 years! It’s like a tale straight out of a comedy-drama, with unexpected plot twists.
JIM Johor, in collaboration with Johor Bahru City Council (MBJB) and Pasir Gudang City Council (MBPG), conducted an operation on Sunday, detaining five individuals without valid travel documentation.
The star of the show is our Singaporean friend, who, according to the statement, has been breaking immigration laws since 2011. Imagine the sitcom-worthy chaos as he was apprehended in Jalan Wadihana, Johor Bahru, after a public complaint about an illegal structure.
But wait, the plot thickens! Another character enters the scene – a Bangladeshi man, also nabbed at the same location for violating the conditions of his work permit pass. It’s starting to feel like a crossover episode of “Caught in Johor.”
In Pasir Gudang, the comedy continues with three more detainees – two Indonesians and a Pakistani – all caught without a valid pass or permit. Looks like the immigration drama in Johor is getting quite the audience.
Now, let’s break down the offenses. All five individuals are facing charges under various sections of the Immigration Act and Regulations, including not having a valid pass, overstaying, and violating pass conditions. It’s like a courtroom drama brewing, but the plot twists keep coming.
To add a touch of irony, one of the offenders received a notice to appear at the JIM office – a classic cliffhanger moment in this sitcom. Currently, all detainees are chilling at the Setia Tropika Immigration Depot, awaiting their next scene in this immigration saga.
So, what’s your take on this comedy of errors staged by JIM Johor? Share your thoughts in the comments, and let’s keep the laughter rolling!
