Mysterious ‘Cable Tie’ Death at MOF Treasury Office, Police Rule Out Criminal Elements

A 45-year-old man was found dead under suspicious circumstances at the Treasury Office of the Ministry of Finance (MOF) in Putrajaya. His body was discovered lying on the office floor with a cable tie fastened around his neck and legs. Authorities were alerted after a MERS999 emergency call was placed at 10:56 AM. A police team from IPD Putrajaya was immediately dispatched to the scene.
According to Kuala Lumpur Police Chief Datuk Rusdi Mohd Isa, preliminary investigations found no signs of criminal elements, and the case has been classified as a Sudden Death Report (SDR). The body has been sent to the Forensic and Pathology Department at Putrajaya Hospital for further examination.
Meanwhile, the MOF has acknowledged the incident, stating that the victim’s family and next of kin have been informed. The ministry has extended its condolences and assured full cooperation with the police investigation.
