Deputy Defence Minister Adly Zahari has clarified important details regarding the upcoming National Service Training Programme (PLKN), scheduled to start in January 2025. He emphasized that only those who have completed their Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) will be eligible to participate in this phase of the program.
This clarification was necessary due to misunderstandings among the public regarding the age limit of 35 years mentioned in previous announcements. Adly reassured the community that the focus of PLKN 3.0 would be exclusively on SPM leavers, ensuring that the program remains aligned with its objective of providing essential training and experiences for young individuals transitioning from education to adulthood.
In addition, Adly announced that approximately 1,000 participants are expected to enroll in the program, which will be conducted across two designated training camps. This initiative aims to enhance national service training and foster a sense of community among the youth, preparing them for future challenges.
As the program’s commencement date approaches, further details will be shared to ensure that all interested individuals have the necessary information to participate in this important national initiative.
