“The baby’s father, 36-year-old Mohd Azlan Ishak, said he and his wife, 35-year-old Norhidayu Halim, are grateful that netizens shared their photos on social media, leading to various reactions, including the Prime Minister’s offer of help.”

Although the father is concerned about potential criticism from cybertroopers, he is relieved that the social media attention has resulted in assistance for his family.

“I was moved and surprised when I found out that our story had reached the Prime Minister, but we were also very sad because we were worried about being criticised by netizens. We were worried that people would say all kinds of things, but I am also grateful to netizens who made us viral; they helped us,” he said.

We genuinely hope that cybertroopers will refrain from spreading any falsehoods about the family and allow them to focus on caring for their adorable baby.

If you wish to donate to the family, you can do so through the mother, Norhidayu Halim’s Bank Simpanan Nasional (BSN) account, 0210029000677695.
