Sunny Seow Says Adeline Chang Was Right to Call Police Over NOD Visit
A dramatic encounter at Adeline Chang’s home has escalated into public controversy after a trio — Bryan Wee, Vinki Wong, and Yao Wang Herbal — personally delivered a notice of demand (NOD) to her residence, prompting her to call the police.
The trio later claimed that officers from the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) assisted in handing over the documents to Adeline after responding to her trespassing report.
However, the situation has taken another turn, with Malaysian businessman Sunny Seow publicly defending Adeline for contacting the authorities. In a fiery Facebook Live session, Sunny didn’t mince his words, slamming the trio’s actions and defending Adeline’s decision to protect her privacy.
“All you had to do was pass the NOD and leave. Why involve the police yourselves? Which officer helps someone deliver a letter?” he questioned.
Sunny accused the trio of exploiting the police presence to boost their social media engagement and publicly shamed them for “getting what they deserved” — referencing their past ties with Adeline and their current fallout.
The conflict stems from Adeline’s alleged defamatory posts involving the trio’s family members, which led them to serve her legal letters. Yao Wang, one of the trio, had previously worked with Adeline to promote his herbal products, a collaboration that ended bitterly. While Adeline claims she was never paid for her efforts, Yao Wang insists she received full payment.
Sunny also questioned the sincerity of the trio’s visit, suggesting they were more interested in generating attention than resolving the issue.
In a follow-up post dated 11 May, Yao Wang explained that the group was forced to hand-deliver the legal documents only after Adeline repeatedly refused to accept them through other channels. He also threw shade at the businessman, sarcastically commenting that Adeline now has “protection” under Sunny Seow’s wing.
