A young boy was among the many customers who lined up for hours to visit ‘FUIYOH! It’s Uncle Roger’ restaurant.
Malaysian comedian Nigel Ng, famously known as Uncle Roger, captured the attention of Malaysians after opening his first restaurant in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
The grand opening of his restaurant at Pavilion Kuala Lumpur yesterday (11 September) was met with an overwhelming response.
The TRP team, who were on-site, reported that many customers patiently queued to visit ‘FUIYOH! It’s Uncle Roger’ restaurant on its first day.
Excited Child’s Dream to Meet Uncle Roger Comes True
In a video uploaded on TikTok (@yang), a young boy was one of the customers seen waiting in the long queue to visit Uncle Roger’s restaurant.
It is understood that the boy came with his father, hoping to take a photo with the famous comedian.
Upon learning about the boy’s wish, TikToker Pinn Yang, who has 5.1 million followers, helped the boy meet Uncle Roger.
After greeting the crowd at his restaurant, Nigel made his way over to the boy and warmly greeted him.
The boy mentioned that he has been following Uncle Roger on TikTok, and was thrilled when he tried the kid’s fried rice set, which received a “Fuiyoh” reaction from the young fan.
At the end of the video, not only did the boy get to take a photo with Uncle Roger, but he also recorded a video together to capture the special moment.
The video has garnered 218,900 views as of the time this article was written.
Public Reactions to the Boy’s Excitement Over Meeting Uncle Roger
In the comments section of the video, many netizens suggested that Uncle Roger could be considered one of Malaysia’s influencers, alongside Khairul Aming and Pinn Yang.
This suggestion came after seeing the positive reaction from the excited young fan.
However, some netizens argued that Uncle Roger’s content might not be appropriate for children, as his speech in videos could be unsuitable for young viewers.
Additionally, some questioned whether the restaurant has obtained halal certification.
