S’porean Man in Underwear Saves Car From Fire, Gets Scolded by Police
A viral video has caught the attention of netizens after a Singaporean man, wearing only his underwear, was seen rushing to move his car away from a burning vehicle parked beside it.
The incident, which was shared on Instagram by @sgvirality, shows the man quickly running out from a nearby building and successfully driving his car away from the parking lot, relocating it to a safer spot in front of a row of other parked cars.
However, his bold actions were met with stern warnings from the police. In the video, two police officers are seen confronting him—one knocking on the car’s rear door and the other ordering him to step out, saying, “Come outside.”
According to a statement from the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF), the fire had broken out in the engine compartment of the affected vehicle. SCDF officers promptly responded and managed to put out the fire using a water jet. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.
The clip has stirred debate online. Some netizens praised the man’s quick thinking, saying they would’ve done the same.
