According to the charity organisation, the father, identified as Leong Jun Hao, fought his illness with determination from the moment he was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukaemia. He went through multiple rounds of chemotherapy before eventually undergoing a bone marrow transplant in the hope of overcoming the disease.

The organisation explained that Jun Hao endured every stage of treatment with one simple wish in mind, which was to live long enough to see his son grow up. Throughout the difficult journey, his son remained one of his strongest sources of motivation and support.

A Touching “Relay Of Life” Between Father And Son

In a powerful act of love and bravery, Jun Hao’s 10-year-old son, Leong Kun Xuan, stepped forward to donate his own stem cells to help save his father. The charity described the act as a touching “relay of life” between father and son that deeply moved members of the public.
