Stranded Chinese Rider Shocked When Mechanic Says ‘Already Paid’

Late Night Breakdown Leaves Rider Stranded

A viral video recently captured a touching moment of kindness in Malaysia involving a Chinese man who was left stranded in Kota Damansara during heavy rain around 12.30am. According to a Facebook post by Minyak Jalanan Hitam Original, the man called a roadside mechanic after his motorcycle chain snapped and his front sprocket went missing, leaving him stuck with no way to return home, especially after another mechanic had earlier ignored him and even blocked his number when he tried to seek help. “Hai bos, saya dapat nombor abang dari TikTok. Tadi saya ada panggil pomen lain tapi dia tak layan, sampai dia ‘block’ saya. Boleh ke abang tolong saya? Rantai motor saya putus,” he said during the call.

Struggle to Pay Reveals His Situation

The mechanic initially hesitated due to the late hour but agreed after reviewing the location and damage, quoting a total cost that included parts and labour. When the Chinese rider responded, “Kalau RM80 tak dapat ke abang? Saya ada RM80 sahaja sekarang ini,” it became clear he did not have enough money and had even borrowed from a friend just to afford the repair. Although the lower price was initially declined, the mechanic still went to the location and proceeded with the repair, later noticing that the man’s remaining balance was barely enough for his own survival.

Mechanic Refuses Payment, Leaves Emotional Impact

After completing the repair, the mechanic chose not to take any payment and instead covered the cost using his own donation funds, effectively telling the man that the job had already been paid for. The emotional moment that followed saw the Chinese rider hugging the mechanic, overwhelmed by the unexpected help during a difficult situation. The story quickly gained attention online, highlighting how the incident went beyond a simple repair and showed an act of kindness that resonated with many people across different backgrounds.
