Thai Hot Guys Bangkok Shutting Down — But KL Outlet in the Works
Staneemeehoi Bangkok Ends Lease, Will Relocate
The famous Staneemeehoi restaurant — known worldwide for its energetic, cross-dressing male performers dubbed the “Thai Hot Guys” — is preparing to shut down operations at its original venue in Bangkok after nearly a decade of performances.
In an official announcement, the team confirmed that their last day of service at Huamum Night Market, Lat Phrao will be July 31, 2025, following the expiry of their lease.
Bangkok Closure is Temporary, Relocation in Progress
While the closure may feel like the end of an era, the team clarified that it is only a temporary pause. Efforts are already underway to secure a new location within Bangkok, and fans can expect updates to be announced through their official channels soon.
The restaurant had been a staple of Huamum Night Market for over nine years, drawing both local and international visitors who came for the food and flamboyant performances.
Thai Hot Guys Eye Kuala Lumpur Expansion
In a surprise move, the restaurant’s management, Dee & Wow, revealed plans to expand the Thai Hot Guys experience beyond Thailand — with Kuala Lumpur slated to be their first international stop.
“We have a bigger plan in mind,” the team stated in a July 5 press release. “For now, the Bangkok location will be put on hold until we secure a suitable venue.”
This means Malaysian fans may no longer need to fly to Thailand for the iconic experience. A local outlet will soon allow them to enjoy it right at home.
KL Date and New Bangkok Venue Yet to Be Finalised
As of July 6, the specific location and launch date for both the new Bangkok outlet and Kuala Lumpur expansion have not been confirmed.
Still, the confirmation alone has stirred excitement among regional fans, with many flocking to the brand’s official Instagram for updates.
Until then, Bangkok visitors can still enjoy the original Staneemeehoi experience until July 31 — after which, the curtains will temporarily close.
