Another person has come forward with a claim that she has not received her salary for three months from a TV station owned by a well-known host who holds the title of Datuk.
In a viral video, the woman pleaded for public help to spread her story so that it could reach the Datuk in question.
“A month’s delay in salary, we can tolerate, but now it’s been three months. What kind of law are they using?” she said. “To all the netizens watching this video, please help us (the workers). We’ve tried everything. Please make this go viral, maybe once it’s viral, they will pay.”
The woman also highlighted that not only her salary but also her EPF, SOCSO, and KWSP contributions have been unpaid.
“As someone living alone, it’s still manageable, but imagine those with families and husbands as the head of the household. It’s even worse for them,” she added.
Seeking Justice
In the video’s caption, the woman emphasized that her goal is to claim her rightful earnings as an employee.
“Help us, the oppressed ones, to seek justice,” she wrote.
Previously, another individual had also come forward claiming that the same TV station owned by the famous host had failed to make Social Security Organization (SOCSO) contributions for its employees.
This person, who claimed to be a former employee, also stated that the station had not paid employee salaries for several months. Furthermore, they mentioned having reported the issue to the Ministry of Labour and the Employees Provident Fund (EPF), but no action was taken.
