Recently, Malaysia got ranked the 19th most peaceful in the world among 163 countries, making us one of the safest in Asia.
But some Malaysians weren’t fully convinced. They thought politics could’ve been better, boosting our rank even higher.
However, one person who’s sure Malaysia deserves its spot is @sozi.deeb, a TikTok creator from the Arab world who loves showcasing our country, especially our food.
In her latest TikTok, @sozi.deeb boldly stated Malaysia is super safe. She even filmed herself strolling around Pudu market in Kuala Lumpur at 5am.
With over 100,000 views and 3,500 likes, her video shows her buying fruits in the quiet early hours.
In the video caption, she wrote, “I love Malaysia. It’s 5am, and you can walk around safely anytime.”
But Malaysians had mixed feelings about her claims. Some warned her not to walk alone at night, especially in deserted spots.
One person pointed out Malaysia’s safety comes from people minding their own business. Another said 5am is safe because it’s early morning.
Some agreed that certain places are safe, but most Malaysians wouldn’t risk walking alone late at night.
