Recently, Aliff Syukri got everyone talking by dropping a sneak peek of his upcoming Aidilfitri song music video, where he was chilling in a jacuzzi. But soon after, he took it down due to some negative feedback, all thanks to his mum’s advice.

@aliffsyukriterlajaklaris made it official on his Instagram that he won’t be dropping any Raya tunes this year. He came clean in a video, admitting that there was never any plan for it in the first place.

Datuk Seri Aliff Syukri cleared the air, saying the jacuzzi video was just a prank for his online pals.

“I never meant to drop a Raya song this year. It was all in good fun for all of you.”

He also apologized to his mum for the prank, knowing it stirred up quite a discussion and criticism among Malaysians.

The entrepreneur wrapped up the video by wishing everyone a Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri.

However, from another perspective celebrity preacher Amin Idris took to Instagram to address Aliff’s statement.

In his post, Amin explained to Aliff why the act of ‘April Fool’s’ is deemed as haram according to Islamic law.

Moreover, Amin questioned Aliff’s actions, which seemed like he was only trying to avoid being boycotted by the public.

In conclusion, Amin advised Aliff to lead his family members to seek blessings on the last 10 nights of Ramadan.

Earlier, Aliff faced criticism from netizens after uploading his ‘Love Raya’ music video, which was deemed excessive and not reflective of Islamic values.

The video also caught the attention of Bonda Rozita, who expressed disappointment with her son’s actions.

According to Rozita, her son should be ashamed for uploading inappropriate content on social media.

However, the father of five later apologized and claimed that his actions were just a joke for ‘April Fool’s’.

“Hey there @aliffsyukriterlajaklaris, do you know that April Fool’s is considered haram, agreed upon by scholars worldwide? Why? Because April Fool’s encourages deceitful and excessive jokes. Malaysia has been fooled. Will you apologize to everyone who was fooled? Or just trying to save yourself from being boycotted? Sins against Allah can be forgiven with repentance. But deceiving people, Allah won’t forgive until people forgive.

My suggestion, as the head of the family, lead them to seek Laylat al-Qadr on the last 10 nights of Ramadan. It’s feared this might be our last Ramadan.” -Amin Idris
