Ebit Lew Wins Lawsuit Against Mondy, Shifts Focus to Caprice

The Shah Alam Sessions Court has ruled that Mondy Tattoo must pay RM20,000 in damages to renowned preacher Ebit Lew over defamation allegations linked to a podcast aired on Caprice’s YouTube channel.

Ebit Lew shared the victory on Facebook, expressing his gratitude for the court’s decision.

“Alhamdulillah, praise be to Allah, I have won the lawsuit against Mondy, also known as Dita Restu, and she has been ordered to pay me RM20,000,” he wrote.

Next Focus: Suing Caprice

In the same post, Ebit also announced that his lawsuit against Caprice is set to proceed in May 2025.

“My lawsuit against Caprice, who aired the podcast, will take place in May 2025, InshaAllah, after a year of waiting,” he said.

Previously, the court issued an injunction against both Caprice and Mondy, requiring them to remove all videos that could tarnish Ebit Lew’s reputation. Ebit filed the lawsuit as the plaintiff, with Caprice and Mondy named as the first and second defendants, respectively.

Case Background

The case stems from allegations made in the podcast claiming that Ebit Lew was involved in sexual harassment against Mondy. These accusations sparked significant controversy, damaging the reputation of Ebit Lew, who is widely respected as an independent preacher.

The court’s firm decision in favor of Ebit reinforces the importance of protecting one’s good name against baseless accusations.
