Planning a surprise is all about catching someone off guard in a joyous and amusing way. Well, one creative Malaysian definitely nailed it when she went the extra mile for her sister’s 17th birthday bash, and it involved some seriously fluffy guests!

Meet Komani Ganesan, the mastermind behind this epic surprise at her house in Bukit Gasing, Petaling Jaya. In a video shared on her TikTok page @komaniganesan, Komani brought two alpacas, Pearly and Brownie, to the party, leaving everyone in stitches.
Not only did Komani surprise her sister, but the whole family was left in awe as the alpacas waltzed into the backyard, guided by their handlers. Before diving into alpaca cuddles, Komani shared some do’s and don’ts with the guests, courtesy of the caregivers.
Komani revealed that Pearly and Brownie were cool and chill, and the guests couldn’t get enough of them. Everyone swarmed around the adorable duo, snapping pics and giving them some love. After a couple of hours of alpaca-fueled fun, the fluffy guests bid farewell.
In an exclusive chat with our team, Komani spilled the beans on her genius plan. She confessed that the surprise was a massive hit and left her sister completely bewildered, especially since she had never encountered an alpaca before.
Despite a whopping 15-year age gap, Komani and her sister share a tight bond. Komani shared, “Birthdays weren’t a big deal when we were growing up, but I wanted to break that tradition and make sure my sister has a blast every year.”
Adding a touch of humor, Komani explained her choice of alpacas, saying, “She loves animals, but never mentioned alpacas, so I thought of something similar to ponies. I figured ponies were too mainstream, so alpacas it was. I just wanted the surprise to be as random as possible! Haha.” Now that’s how you turn a regular birthday into an alpaca-palooza!
