Maltese Woman Praises Comfort and Durability of Second-Hand Perodua Kelisa

Malaysia is home to two iconic national car brands — PROTON and Perodua — both of which continue to be a source of national pride. What’s even more impressive is that these locally manufactured vehicles have made their way into foreign markets.

Recently, a Facebook post by a woman from Malta went viral after she shared her admiration for the Perodua Kelisa, a Malaysian-made compact car she had recently purchased second-hand.

Through her Facebook post, Claudine Alcock expressed how impressed she was by the comfort and durability of the car, despite never having heard of the brand before. She had bought a used Perodua Kelisa model from 2005 and had owned it for just a week at the time of her post.

“I’m from Malta. I bought a second-hand 2005 Kelisa. I’ve had it for a week now. I’d never heard of it before, but I love it.

“It has 83,500 miles on it. I even saw another one with 995,000 miles on the clock, and it’s still running! Mine has a dent in the front that I plan to fix, but aside from that, it’s easy to use,” she wrote.
