RM11,000 Paint Job Turns Nightmare: Woman’s Pink Mercedes G-Class Ends in Disappointment

A luxury car owner was left furious after her attempt to give her Mercedes G-Class a striking pink makeover ended in frustration and disappointment. Despite paying RM11,000 for what she expected to be a flawless paint job, she was instead handed a vehicle riddled with imperfections.

The woman, who took her car to CSK Auto Refinishing Specialist Sdn Bhd in Kuala Lumpur, shared her ordeal on social media. What was promised to be a two-week job stretched into an entire month, with little communication from the workshop throughout the process.

When she finally collected her car, she was met with a series of shocking issues — uneven paint, visible brush strokes, and strange bumps scattered across the vehicle’s surface. For a price tag of RM11,000, she had expected showroom-quality results.

The workshop initially promised to fix the flaws, but things soon turned sour. The owner was eventually dismissed with a casual “memang macam ni” (that’s just how it is) and was even accused of being “picky” and “not understanding” for expecting better results.

To make matters worse, the so-called “complete” paint job did not include the vehicle’s signature spare tyre cover — an omission that the workshop claimed required an additional RM450.

Frustrated and disappointed, the woman ultimately decided to cut her losses rather than engage in a prolonged dispute. Her story quickly gained traction online, with many netizens expressing sympathy and frustration over what they described as poor customer service and questionable workmanship.

Following the online backlash, CSK Auto issued an apology that many felt was insincere. The company blamed the ordeal on “miscommunication” and vaguely promised to improve their customer service. However, critics were unimpressed, pointing out that the apology failed to address the poor paint job itself or explain why the spare tyre cover wasn’t included in the initial package.

For the car owner, it was an expensive lesson learned. Meanwhile, for CSK Auto, the damage extended far beyond a single paint job — their reputation has taken a significant hit within Malaysia’s luxury vehicle community.
