“I didn’t wake up instantly, but my hand responded. That was the first sign,” Aimi told SEISMIK in a recent interview. He emphasised that while he was still unconscious at the time, the moment marked the beginning of his path to recovery.

Now back in Malaysia, Aimi expressed immense gratitude to Siti. He praised the singer’s sincerity, noting how rare it is for someone of her status to respond so swiftly and compassionately.
As of 31 July, Aimi marked his 20th day since regaining consciousness. The incident has gone viral, especially the clip where the voice note is played beside his hospital bed.
