Former Youth and Sports Minister, Syed Saddiq, expressed his gratitude after successfully distributing over RM1 million worth of aid to Muar residents. This was made possible through a collaboration with a well-known local fashion brand.
According to Saddiq, the donations were not given in cash but instead in the form of clothing and essential daily items.
“Prima Valet has donated over RM1,000,000 to the Muar parliamentary constituency, but not in cash. This includes 3,456 baju Melayu and baju kurung for children, 1,625 sets for the elderly, 500 Nur Aisyah telekungs, 500 Ustaz Azhar Idrus jubahs, and 800 large food baskets,” he shared in an Instagram post.
The Muar MP emphasized that the initiative was successfully executed after working hard on several collaborations with local actress Bella Astillah.
Saddiq also expressed his happiness in being able to extend assistance to the people of Muar, easing their burdens in the process.
“How did I manage to get all of this? Not by going on vacation, but by becoming a model, doing photoshoots, and even climbing Mount Kinabalu. I’ll do whatever it takes to bring benefits to Muar residents.
“What do I get in return? Love and immense joy. Seeing those in need smile makes me the happiest person alive,” he said.
Recently, Bukit Bendera MP, Syerleena Abdul Rashid, called on Syed Saddiq to remain focused on his primary duty as an elected representative.
She voiced concerns that Saddiq has been making headlines more for his rumored relationship with actress Bella Astillah than for his work as an MP. She also stated that if he could not fulfill his responsibilities, he should consider stepping down.
Previously, Saddiq caught public attention when he frequently appeared alongside Bella Astillah, including during their recent climb to the peak of Mount Kinabalu.
