The Ordinary Baker Sues Eclairis for RM1.5 Million, Family Feud Goes Public
A family-run business conflict has caught public attention as The Ordinary Baker takes legal action against Eclairis with a claim worth RM1.5 million.
Putri Nadira of Eclairis expressed her disappointment, describing the lawsuit as more than a business issue — it’s about broken trust and betrayal within the family.
“We started together. We built our dreams from nothing. Now we’re being sued for RM1.5 million. It’s more than just a number — it’s a wound,” said Nadira in a now-viral post.

She explained that three out of four founding partners were forced to leave the original company due to a decision made by one individual. They left with nothing and founded Eclairis with the same spirit — to continue creating and reignite their dreams.

The lawsuit is believed to stem from internal disputes over brand ownership, unwritten verbal agreements, and overlapping product and marketing strategies.
Nadira added, “We didn’t run away. We just wanted to start fresh. But why sue us for RM1.5 million — as if we stole something we never took?”
The issue has also drawn reactions from fans and loyal customers of both brands, many expressing sadness over the breakdown of family ties due to business matters.
Putri Najiha, believed to be the sister of the individual who filed the lawsuit, also voiced her regret over the decision.
“Another lawsuit? Money, money, money. Have you forgotten who helped build that company from day one?”
So far, The Ordinary Baker has not issued an official statement. However, court documents show the company is seeking damages over losses allegedly incurred following the split of the founding team.
This situation serves as a reminder of how family-run businesses, even those built on love and dreams, can turn into battlegrounds.
