Mainstream media practitioner Kamal Abas, 51, lodged a police report last night at the Kerian District Police Headquarters against the owner of account X using the name Saifuddin Shafik.
“He (Saifuddin Shafik) made a comment with words like ‘Just trained and already dead. Didn’t even have time to fight.’
“Such rude words shouldn’t be uttered when many citizens, especially the families of the victims, are grieving for losing their loved ones,” he said after filing the police report at the Kerian District Police Headquarters, about 94 kilometers away from here, yesterday.
Kamal said that the matter should not be taken lightly as it could have various negative impacts on society.
“The authorities and legal departments should impose the maximum penalty on the perpetrator as a lesson,” he said.
Such actions go beyond the boundaries of moral decency as stated in the fifth principle of the nation, which is Courtesy and Morality.
He added that he sincerely hopes the authorities will impose appropriate punishment on the perpetrator as a lesson.
Kamal also urged social media users who come across any posts or comments insulting the military personnel who were victims of the crash to take action by filing a police report.
