14 Roads in KL Closed for King’s Coronation
This Saturday, 14 major roads in Kuala Lumpur will be temporarily closed for the coronation of Sultan Ibrahim as the 17th Yang di-Pertuan Agong. KL Police Chief Rusdi Isa announced that the roads will be closed from 8 AM to 8 PM to accommodate guests attending the ceremony and related events.

- Jalan Tun Razak
- Jalan Kia Peng
- Jalan Raja Chulan
- Jalan Ampang
- Jalan Sultan Ismail
- Lebuhraya Sultan Iskandar
- Jalan Tuanku Abdul Halim
- Jalan Semantan
- Jalan Damansara
- Jalan Istana
- Kuala Lumpur-Seremban Expressway
- Jalan Kuching (southbound)
- Bulatan Dato Onn
- Jalan Parlimen
Heavy Police Presence
Rusdi Isa also mentioned that 387 traffic police officers will be deployed to escort VIPs and manage traffic, ensuring the event runs smoothly.
Avoid These Routes
“Drivers are advised to avoid these routes to prevent traffic jams and follow instructions from traffic police on duty,” he said, as reported by Free Malaysia Today.
On January 31st, Sultan Ibrahim took the oath and signed the letter of appointment as the 17th Yang di-Pertuan Agong.
