The action of social media personality, Ceddy Ang, buying a Quran with the intention of studying it has received positive responses from netizens.

In a video uploaded on TikTok, Ceddy is seen at a bookstore expressing his desire to purchase a copy of the Quran.

In the caption of the post, the 36-year-old influencer shared that he frequently gets asked if he plans to convert to Islam.

“Every time I join my Muslim friends for fasting or speak up for the people of Palestine, there’s always the question, ‘When are you converting to Islam?'”

Although he doesn’t find the question sensitive, Ceddy hopes netizens will give him time to understand the Quran first.

“Even though it’s not a harmful question, sometimes you need to relax because I want to learn more before making any decisions. And today, I chose to buy the Quran and start reading.”
