Singer Amira Othman admits to taking a big risk with the gimmick for her latest music video (MV) Bila Nak Kahwin, which features the sensational actor Fattah Amin. However, she apologizes if the move has caused discomfort among fans.
Amira Apologizes, Focused on Creativity
Amira, 32, explained that the gimmick aimed to try something new in her career. She acknowledged that involving Fattah as her partner in the MV could spark mixed reactions.
“I hope this gimmick doesn’t upset my fans. As an artist, I’m just exploring and trying new things. I’m prepared to face the risks and accept any criticism.”
The apology was made during her appointment as the brand ambassador for Varisha hijabs, which also served as the launch platform for the song at Central I-City Mall, Shah Alam.
Collaborating with Fattah Amin: A Risk Worth Taking?
Amira admitted that choosing Fattah for this project was a strategic decision. She believes that Fattah’s current popularity made him the perfect choice.
“Anyone collaborating with Fattah right now will definitely benefit from his fame. I consider it a blessing to work with him on this project.”
Amira also mentioned being prepared to face criticism from fans who might not approve of the gimmick.
“If I don’t take risks, I might just stay in my comfort zone. So, I decided to try this move to make an impact.”
‘Bila Nak Kahwin’: A New Phenomenon?
The song Bila Nak Kahwin was composed by Iqie Hugh, Omar K, and Amira herself. This pop-genre track is produced by Sony Music Malaysia in collaboration with Emiera Othman Ventures. It was officially launched on January 10, while the music video premiered a day later.
Amira hopes the gimmick will positively impact her career while respecting the sentiments of her fans.
