Overslept on Bus, Belarus Girl Finds ‘Foster Mom’ in Terengganu
Overslept on Bus, Ended Up Stranded

A Belarusian girl caught attention online after sharing an unexpected moment during her trip to Malaysia. According to her Instagram @exploella, the incident happened in September 2025 while she was traveling from Penang to Kuala Terengganu by bus. She accidentally overslept, and the driver didn’t realize she was still on board at the final stop. She only woke up when the bus had already reached a parking area about 10 kilometers away, leaving her in a situation she did not expect at all, and with no immediate help, she had to walk around 5 kilometers before eventually getting a ride that brought her closer to Kuala Terengganu town, turning what should have been a simple journey into a stressful experience in an unfamiliar place.
A Kind Stranger Changed Everything
Things took a completely different turn when she stopped for breakfast. “While I was having breakfast, a woman I didn’t know came up and started talking to me. She even offered to show me around the city by car,” she shared, and that woman, later introduced as Puan Pauziah, welcomed her warmly and treated her like someone she had known for a long time, bringing her to several local attractions including the beach, the Floating Mosque, a batik pavilion, and even a batik factory, before continuing to spend time together over the next few days, including having dinner and later introducing her to Pulau Kapas, where she said, “I fell in love with this little island. I met locals and travelers and spent two amazing weeks there.”
From Strangers to a Lasting Bond
What made the story even more meaningful was how their connection continued even after the trip. A week later, Puan Pauziah visited her again at Pulau Kapas just to check on her and even brought Nasi Kerabu, and they spent more time together before she eventually returned to Kuala Lumpur, but even months later, the bond remained strong as she shared, “After 7 months, my ‘foster mom’ still checks on me and sends me ‘Good Morning’ messages on WhatsApp,” while showing their conversation, and she later returned to Pulau Kapas again where Puan Pauziah came to meet her once more and brought her back to Kuala Terengganu, proving that what started as a random encounter had turned into something much deeper that many online described as rare and genuinely heartwarming.
