50% Toll Discount for Two Days in Conjunction with Deepavali Starting 18 October

During the presentation of Budget 2026, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim announced that a 50% toll discount will be given to all highway users for two days in celebration of Deepavali.
From 18 October to 19 October
According to PLUS, the toll discount will begin at 12:01 a.m. on 18 October and will end at 11:59 p.m. on 19 October, as reported by Bernama.
The initiative aims to ease the financial burden of highway users and support smooth travel during the festive season.
Smart Lane Activated at 28 Key Locations
PLUS also announced that Smart Lane routes will be activated at 28 traffic hotspots to help reduce congestion and improve traffic flow on the highways.
“To manage congestion and ensure smooth traffic movement, PLUS will activate Smart Lane at 28 key traffic hotspots on the highway,” the statement read.
Additional Facilities at Toll Plazas & R&R Areas
To further ease travel during the Deepavali holiday, PLUS has made preparations at toll plazas and rest & service areas (R&R) to ensure comfortable journeys.
PLUS urges the public to plan their trips wisely and utilise public facilities such as toilets and prayer rooms provided at toll plazas and nearby R&R stops.
