Double Parking Incident Leaves Woman Stranded, Misses Ambulance

Double Parking Sparks Outrage At Hospital

A viral incident at Hospital Pulau Pinang has sparked public anger after a woman claimed she was blocked by a double parked Toyota Rush for nearly two hours. The situation quickly gained attention online as it involved not just inconvenience, but a medical emergency.

Rushing To Follow Ambulance Carrying Her Mother

According to the woman, she was trying to urgently follow an ambulance that was transporting her mother from Hospital Pulau Pinang to Hospital Sultan Abdul Halim in Sungai Petani. However, her vehicle was completely blocked, leaving her stranded for approximately one hour and 45 minutes. As a result, she and her family were separated from the ambulance during a critical moment.

Forced To Seek Help From Traffic Police

She explained that the vehicle owner had left the car unlocked and placed insurance details inside, but the contact number provided could not be reached. Attempts to get assistance from the local council also failed, as the car was parked within hospital grounds and could not be towed. In the end, she had to contact traffic police, who were able to trace the owner using existing records.

Multiple Vehicles Affected, Public Reacts

The woman also claimed that the same vehicle had blocked several other cars near the hospital exit. The incident triggered frustration among netizens, many of whom criticised the lack of responsibility and basic awareness. Some pointed out that parking spaces were still available elsewhere, while others questioned why the driver did not apologise or respond when contacted.
