Hollywood has lost another familiar face. Michelle Trachtenberg, best known for her roles in Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Gossip Girl, has passed away at the age of 39.

From Child Star to Hollywood Favorite
Born in New York City on October 11, 1985, to Jewish immigrant parents, Trachtenberg started her career in Hollywood at just three years old, appearing in commercials before making her television debut in The Adventures of Pete & Pete in 1994.
Her breakthrough came at 10 years old when she landed the lead role in Harriet the Spy (1996). She continued starring in Nickelodeon productions before securing the role of Dawn Summers in Buffy the Vampire Slayer in 2000.
She later gained further recognition for her role as Georgina Sparks in Gossip Girl (2007), along with appearances in EuroTrip (2004), Killing Kennedy, Sister Cities, and The Scribbler.
A Legacy Beyond TV & Film
Aside from her acting career, Trachtenberg made appearances in music videos, including This Ain’t a Scene, It’s an Arms Race by Fall Out Boy and Tired of Being Sorry, directed by Joaquin Phoenix.
